Works by three West Virginia University political scientists were recently published in a journal of the American Political Science Association.
Eberly College of Arts and Sciences professors Thomas Scotto and Donley Stellar, along with political science graduate student Kyle Christensen, have featured articles in the October 2006 issue of PS: Political Science and Politics.
The issue, titledSymposium: The Politics of Canada,featured articles that explore the politics of Canada, from Canadian-American relations to electoral reform.
Stellar and Christensen co-authoredIs Canada a Westminster or Consensus Democracy? A Brief Analysis.
Scotto was one of four authors of the articleFlawless Campaign, Fragile Victory: Voting in Canadas 2006 Federal Election.
Donley Stellar is an Eberly Family Distinguished Professor of Political Science. His field of study includes comparative politics of Western democracies, particularly comparative public policy.
His current research includes work on the comparative politics of tobacco control, voting turnout in European Parliament elections, and what influences differences in gender representation in legislatures. Stellar has authored four books and more than 100 journal articles. He is also a two-time Fulbright award winner.
Thomas Scotto is a visiting assistant professor in WVU s Department of Political Science.
