Tricia Petty, director of undergraduate student recruitment at West Virginia University, has been named assistant vice president for integrated marketing operations at the University, effective Dec. 1. The appointment was made by Vice President for University Advancement and Marketing (UAM) Christine Martin following a nationwide search.

Tricia is a great fit for this new position,Martin said.Her expertise in student recruitment, recruitment marketing, new student program development and overall customer relations will help us to enhance and expand our communications and marketing efforts to meet an ever more complex and competitive market.

Martin said Pettys work across University colleges and units will be a great asset to University Advancement and Marketing.

Tricia has worked closely with the Universitys Enrollment Management Council in establishing and achieving short- and long-term goals,Martin added.She has also collaborated with UAM units to produce publications and web products and to ensure consistency in messaging with prospective students, parents, alumni and others.

Petty came to WVU in 2000 as assistant to the AVP for Student Affairs, serving as primary personnel and budget officer. She also served as interim associate director of the Student Affairs Business Office.

Prior to coming to WVU , she coordinated student-run programs such as the performing and entertainment arts at the University of Georgia for four years and worked as an admissions counselor at Bluefield College.

Petty received an undergraduate degree in international relations from the University of Virginia and a masters degree in counseling and human development from the University of Georgia.
