This program began five years ago after we were approached by students and a local food bank, said Bob Roberts, director, Public Safety and Transportation. We determined this would be a good way to help them both.
All food collected will be distributed to local non-profit organizations. Last year, the program received and donated 3,412 cans and 188 dry food items.
