A new concrete walkway will be laid in front of the main entrance to WVU s Evansdale Residential Complex beginning today (Nov. 13). The project is expected to take two weeks.
Crews will first remove the old slate and concrete outside the Brooke/Braxton Tower lobby, and then pour the new sidewalk.
During the construction period, the entrance will be closed to regular pedestrian traffic with the exception of Friday, Nov. 17. The entrance will be open on that day to accommodate heavy traffic expected as students head home for Thanksgiving break.
University officials have requested that the Ridge shuttles, Visitors Resource Center bus and Accessibility Services transportation use other entrances during the construction.
Signs will be posted inside and outside directing students to other entrances.
