West Virginia University students who cant make the trip to Kentucky for Thursdays (Nov. 2) WVU -Louisville football match-up can cheer the Mountaineers on to victory at the Metropolitan Theatre, WVU s Mountainlair student union and residence halls.
The Mountaineer Maniacs, WVU s student fan organization, has planned a game-watching event for students and their guests at theMeton High Street. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. kickoff that is being broadcast on ESPN .
Admission is free for members ($7 for guests), and the first 150 Maniacs through the doors will receive free T-shirts. Buffalo Wild Wings and Coca-Cola will be providing refreshments to all in attendance.
Mountaineer Maniacs Executive Director Jeremy Hatcher said there are plenty of good seats, and the game will be broadcast on a movie theater-sized screen. Door prizes will be raffled off from area businesses, and there will also be a surprise guest speaker at halftime.

WVU students, faculty and staff may also cheer on the Mountaineers from the Side Pocket (ground floor) and TV lounge (main floor next to the food court) Thursday night at theLair.
The Side Pocket has a big-screen TV and will be offering a corndog special (one for $1 or two for $1.50) and giveaways.
Some WVU Resident Faculty Leaders will also be holding game-watching events in their homes, Student Affairs officials said.
It has been an exciting football season so far, and most of our fans have been great,said Ken Gray, vice president for Student Affairs.As we approach the game against Louisville, fans are reminded to celebrate in a manner that shows respect for WVU and the City of Morgantown.
Meanwhile, some 150-200 Mountaineer Maniacs will be boarding three buses bound for Louisville at 7 a.m. Thursday from the WVU Coliseum. The trip is expected to take about 5hours.
With the Mountaineers No. 3 and Louisville No. 5, we are looking forward to a great match-up between two undefeated teams,Hatcher said.
