The West Virginia University Student Recreation Center is encouraging people to get fit and help fight breast cancer at the same time. The Rec Center is offering Pilates for Pink at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, in Room A as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Participants may attend one or both classes.

Sponsored by Shape Magazine, Pilates for Pink helps fight breast cancer by asking for a minimum $10 donation to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Donations are payable ahead online at or on the day of class with cash or check. Pilates is a method of exercise and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body.
