Mark Rey, U.S. Department of Agriculture under secretary for natural resources and environment, will speak onThe Upcoming Farm Bill DebateHow 2007 Is Shaping Upat 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, in room 1001 of the Agricultural Sciences Building on West Virginia Universitys Evansdale Campus. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Rey will meet with faculty and staff of the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Consumer Sciences and WVU Extension during his one-day visit. He will also meet with Davis College students to discussCooperative ConservationDevelopment of Environmental Policy and How It Is Changingat 9 a.m. Monday in room 2001 of the Agricultural Sciences Building.

Rey was sworn in as the under secretary for natural resources and environment on Oct. 2, 2001. In that position, he oversees the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service and Natural Resources Conservation Service.
