West Virginia University will host about 300 distinguished visitors Friday (Sept. 29) when many of the Universitys visiting committees meet.
Every WVU college and school and many other units rely on alumni and friends of the University to give advice and assistance throughout the year.
Visiting committee members will have an opportunity to meet one another at a noon luncheon during which WVU President David C. Hardesty Jr. will speak.
They also will be attending their own respective meetings throughout the day.
College and school visiting committees are generally populated by those who have distinguished themselves in the career fields associated the college or school,Hardesty said.Who better to advise deans and faculty members on such issues as the preparation that employers are seeking in new graduates? We thank these men and women for volunteering their time to make WVU a better place.
