West Virginia University English Professor James Harms is becoming recognized for his poetry, and so is Morgantown, thanks to the publication of his poem on a prominent poetry Web site.On Beauty and West Virginia at the Blue Moose Caféwas Poetry Dailys featured poem on Tuesday, September 5. The poem, originally published in the autumn 2006 issue of The Gettysburg Review, can be read online athttp://www.poems.com/onbeahar.htm. Poetry Daily is a Web site sponsored by the Daily Poetry Association that publishes a new poem each day from a current book, magazine or journal.

Harms is an accomplished poet and creative writer. He directs the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Program in Creative Writing in the Department of English in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at WVU , and is the author of five full-length collections of poetry from the Carnegie Mellon University Press. His poetry has been published in numerous literary journals, including Poetry, The Kenyon Review, The Antioch Review, Denver Quarterly, The Gettysburg Review, and TriQuarterly.
