Alumni and friends hitting the road to follow the Mountaineers in the coming weeks can stop by one of the pre-game events hosted by the West Virginia University Alumni Association and area alumni chapters.

We are excited about traveling around the country this fall and catching up with our fellow Mountaineers,said Stephen Douglas, president and chief executive officer, WVU Alumni Association.These types of off-campus events enable us to further enhance our presence while bringing alumni and friends together. The events also serve as a great way to show our support for the team.

The schedule for away pre-game events is as follows:

  • Saturday, Sept. 23 (at East Carolina) Pirates Cove Corporate Village adjacent to the stadium
  • Saturday, Oct. 7 (at Mississippi State) South lawn of the Humphrey Coliseum at Mississippi State University
  • Friday, Oct. 20 (at Connecticut) Lot 9 at Rentschler Field at UConn
  • Thursday, Nov. 16 (at Pittsburgh) Backyard Brawl pre-game at PNC Park (Executive Suite Level)

Plans for the Louisville pre-game event (Nov. 2) will be announced at a later date. All events begin two and a half hours prior to kickoff. Attendees must pre-register for the events by contacting the WVU Alumni Association.
