West Virginia Universitys popularTradition of Huntingclass will once again team with the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources to offer college-aged adults a hunter education course.

The class will consist of two sessions, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, in 308 Percival Hall on WVU s Evansdale Campus.

This free class allows participants to purchase a hunting license in any state and will increase confidence in and understanding of safe hunting practices, said Jim Anderson, associate professor of wildlife and fisheries resources at WVU .If you have not taken a hunter safety course in the past three years, it would also serve as a good refresher course.

Anderson added that, while the safety course is designed for college students, prospective hunters of any age are encouraged to participate.

For more information and to register, contact Anderson at 304-293-2941, ext. 2445 or jander25@wvu.edu . Pre-registration is not required, but space in the class is limited to 48 participants.
