In its second week, the collectioncoordinated by the Student Government Association and Center for Civic Engagement collectionis being held in conjunction with the Corporate Volunteer Councils citywideChristmas in Julyproject. The drive benefits Christian Helps annual holiday giveaway.

New toys and books are needed for children ages 1-18, said Milisa Cutlip, student Board of Governors member. Financial contributions will also be accepted. Checks should be made out to Christian Help.

I think that Christian Help has the right idea in starting early on a project like this because its sometimes hard to make a contribution around the holidays,Cutlip said.I am also very happy to be working with the Center for Civic Engagement to increase our involvement in the community and raise awareness of the CCE .
