The Student Government Association and Center for Civic Engagement at West Virginia University are teaming up with the Corporate Volunteer Councils citywideChristmas in Julytoy drive.
The collection benefits Christian Helps annual holiday giveaway. New toys and books are needed for kids ages 1-18.
Im very excited to get this project under way, said Milisa Cutlip, student Board of Governors member.I think that Christian Help has the right idea in starting early on a project like this because its sometimes hard to make a contribution around the holidays.
Hopefully by havingChristmas in July,we will be able to provide more children with toys and books in December, she added.I am also very happy to be working with the Center for Civic Engagement to increase our involvement in the community and raise awareness of the CCE .
Financial contributions are also appreciated. Checks may be made out to Christian Help.
