The cover of the Summer 2006 issue of Supermodels Unlimited features West Virginia University alumna Andrea Patrick Forte, a former Miss West Virginia pageant winner and Top 10 Miss USA finalist.
Patrick Forte, a 1983 interior design graduate from Uniontown , Pa. , owns and operates Patrick Talent Agency with offices in Connellsville , Pa. , and Taluca Lake , Calif. She represents spokesmodels, runway models, entertainers and on-air hosts, and was in Morgantown recently signing copies of the international publication.
She was selected for the cover during interviews and photos for an issue devoted to the €?15 Most Beautiful Industry Professionals€?not just because of her natural beauty, said Editor-in-Chief Kimberly Lawrence, but because of her €?genuine personality, her love for life and her kind heart.€?
She also writes an advice column for Supermodels Unlimited called €?Dear Andrea,€? with words of wisdom such as €?develop success from failures.€?
€?I try to give advice to live by,€? she said. €?I hope my experiences as an actress, model and spokesperson can inspire and motivate others.€?
The 45-year-old beauty is married to 50s rock-and-roll icon Fabian, who still performs to large crowds in Atlantic City and other U.S. and international venues.
Patrick was a member of Chi Omega Sorority during her days at WVU , and considers her €?big sis,€? Morgantown , W.Va. , business owner Connie Chico Merandi as one of her dearest friends and mentors.
€?Connie and I talk frequently and get together when we can. We have an incredible friendship€a strong love for WVU €.Theta Chapter of Chi Omega€and this state.€?
Patrick Forte competed for Miss USA the year Vanessa Williams won the crown.
€?I knew something was wrong the night before the news broke,€? she recalled. €?We were on the road performing together and I could tell something was wrong, but she was a professional and did not say a word. The next day when the news hit I sent her a telegram basically saying `Take care€and I’m still your friend.’Years later, she told me I was one of only a few people she heard from during those dark days.€?
