If you are looking to start your own business, the West Virginia University Small Business Development Center (WVU SBDC ) is offering a seminar for you.
�€?Financing Your Business�€? will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, May 25, in the sixth floor conference room of the Chestnut Ridge Research Building at 886 Chestnut Ridge Road .
Sharon Stratton, WVU SBDC manager, will discuss business financing options including loans, grants and the SBA guaranteed loans. Attendees will be provided brochures, handouts and the �€?Going into Business in West Virginia �€? book.
Co-sponsored by the West Virginia Development Office, the Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce, the WVU Entrepreneurship Center and the WVU Research Corporation, the cost of the seminar is $20.
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a division of the West Virginia Development Office and works with colleges, universities and other host institutions to provide free business consulting and technical assistance at 14 statewide locations.
SBDCs are programs supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis.
