On Saturday, May 20, stop by Milan Puskar Stadium, where you can find a good buy on everyday items and help a worthy cause.

The second West Virginia University Blue and Gold Mine Sale will be held that day to benefit the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties.

From 7 a.m. until noon, bargain hunters can sift through a trove of clothes, furniture, appliances, home entertainment equipment, sporting goods, electronics and more.

Items were donated by WVU students, faculty and staff at the end of the spring semester.

€?The concourse is full of items for the sale,€? said Barbara Angeletti, WVU ’s recycling coordinator. €?We have even more items to offer than last year.€?

Reducing the amount of usable items WVU students leave behind for the garbage and supporting the United Way are the purposes behind the sale, Angeletti added.

The sale is made possible by a joint effort between members of WVU and the greater Morgantown community, including WVU Facilities Management, WVU Athletics Department, Monongalia County Solid Waste Authority, WVU administration and the United Way .
