The West Virginia University Division of Art is registering students through Monday, May 15, for its Summer Art Camp.


The camp, to be held June 12-16 at the Creative Arts Center , is for children ages 5 to 13 who would like to explore exciting art-making techniques, combined with outdoor adventures. The children will work on various art projects, including sun printing, drawing, flower fun, clay adventures and painting.


The camp will be held weekdays, and students may register for morning or afternoon sessions. Session I will be from 9 a.m.-noon, and Session II will be from 1-4 p.m.


Instructors include Lori McPherson and Jennifer Yerdon, who have master’s degrees in art with K-12 certification. They are former co-instructors of the WVU Saturday Young People’s Art Studio.


The cost is $100 per student and includes all materials and supplies.
