Seven for seven.

All seven clinical graduate students in West Virginia University’s Department of Psychology earned internships at health care facilities across the nation during this year’s annual Internship Match Day, the program announced.

€?It is truly an honor for our students to be highly recruited and selected to complete their degree requirements at institutions of this caliber,€? said Dr. Kevin Larkin, who directs clinical training programs in the department.

That all seven who applied would earn internships is significant because of the highly competitive selection process, Larkin said. Thousands of students a year are routinely denied internships during the day, he said.

Students will work their internships during the 2006-07 academic year, Larkin said. All the programs are approved by the American Psychological Association.
