West Virginia University’s VMC /Homeland Security Programs has developed a Web page that provides downloadable versions of presentations given at the recent regional pandemic influenza summit held March 6 at the Radisson Hotel in Morgantown.

Residents are urged to visit the Web page athttp://www.vmc.wvu.edu/pandemic.htmPresentations are downloadable as pod casts on Apple’s iTunes and as MP3 files. Printable versions of coinciding PowerPoint presentations are also available on the site.

One of seven held statewide, the regional pandemic influenza summit in Morgantown stemmed from Gov. Manchin’s pandemic flu summit held in January in Charleston, and added a local focus on infrastructure and economic concerns related to a pandemic flu occurrence. Over 400 attended the summit, including business representatives, government officials, local emergency responders and members of the medical community. It was hosted by PACT , the Preparedness Action Coalition Team, which includes members from Doddridge, Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston and Taylor counties.
