Seniors in West Virginia University’s interior design program will celebrate their educational and professional development in an exhibition from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 28, in the first-floor art gallery at the Mountainlair.
The 2006 senior class will have on display projects from all four of our years in the program, best representing the progression of skills from throughout our training, said Erin Gernerd, a senior in the program from Purcellville, Va.
We hope that exhibiting our projects will do several things,Gernerd explained. We want to share with the whole University what our program is about and what interior design really is.
Interior design students will be on hand during the exhibition to answer questions about their work and the program.
WVU offers the state’s only interior design program to be accredited by the Foundation of Interior Design Education and Research. The program is housed in WVU ’s Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry and Consumer Sciences.
