With the end of the semester approaching and all the stress that accompanies it, relaxing may be difficult.
The West Virginia University Student Recreation Center will teach you how to relax with its first everRelaxation Explorationseries, designed to rid tension and help people clear their mind.
Each session is intended as a brief, 20-30 minute introduction to a specific relaxation exercise.
Progressive relaxation will be taught Monday, April 24 at 4 p.m. This session will teach relaxationone body part at a timeuntil stress and physical tension are gone.
Visualization is the topic Tuesday, April 25, at 4 p.m. Learn how to use the mind to create an image that brings you to a peaceful place.
The final part of the series is Wednesday, April 26, at 4 p.m. In Breathe Work, learn how to use the breath to facilitate deep mind and body relaxation.
Students or Recreation Center members can just show up for the series. There is no registration. All of the classes will be taught in Room A.
