Boston Celtics General Manager Chris Wallace will headline the 14th Annual West Virginia University Sport Summit Saturday, April 22, at 6 p.m. at the Erickson Alumni Center on the Evansdale Campus.

The Sport Summit is hosted annually by the WVU Graduate Sport Management Program in the School of Physical Education to welcome back alumni and friends of the program, and honor the graduating students.

Wallace, who attended the University of Kansas and West Virginia Wesleyan, is in his seventh season as the Celtics GM. He has made a name for himself as one of the NBA ’s best talent evaluators.

Previous to his work with Boston , Wallace worked for the Miami Heat where he served as a scout before being promoted to the team’s director of player personnel. The native of Buckhannon has also served in the scouting departments of the Portland Trailblazers, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks.

Wallace also founded the Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook in 1981, which has gained nationwide renown as one of the most comprehensive basketball publications in the world. In 1991, he was named one of the most influential members of the college basketball media by Sports Illustrated.
