Are you a first-time mom of an infant approaching 10 months of age?

Would you like to learn more about your infant’s developmentand earn $10 in the process?

Getting moms like you in the know about your baby is the goal of a new research study being conducted by faculty in West Virginia University’s Department of Psychology.

Participating moms will be asked to fill out questionnaires about social support networks, their confidence about parenting, baby and mom sleep habits and knowledge of parenting.

The psychology department will set up an appointment with participants to assess their baby’s development with the Bayley Scales of Infant Development, a widely used assessment that involves moms playing with their babies using toys.

It’s fun to watchand it’s a great way to learn more about a baby’s development.

The study also seeks first-moms of infants approaching four months of age to fill out questionnaires only. All moms who participate will be entered into a drawing for one of four $50 gift certificates for a retailer of choice.
