West Virginia University’s Integrated Marketing Communications graduate students from throughout the United States will have a chance to meet face-to-face with fellow classmates during the second annual IMC Information and Reunion Weekend June 2-3 in Morgantown.

More than 150 students are currently enrolled in the 39-hour graduate program offered exclusively online through the P.I. Reed School of Journalism.

Because no classroom attendance is required, students participate in online courses with classmates from around the country, and in some cases, around the world. The IMC Information and Reunion Weekend gives these students a once-a-year opportunity to come together and interact with each other in person.

The Information Weekend is a very popular event for our students, said Chad Mezera, marketing director for the program. Many of our students develop strong friendships while completing coursework together online. Giving them the opportunity to meet their colleagues and members of the faculty in person after only interacting online is of great value to them.

IMC Weekend activities and events are also designed to help inform and educate potential students on the program.

We have a lot of attendees who haven’t enrolled in the program yet, but are interested in learning how an online graduate program works,Mezera said. They have the unique opportunity to visit with current students and ask them specific questions about the coursework and their individual experiences with the program.

Planned activities begin with a reception Friday evening, June 2. On Saturday, June 3, information sessions will take place, followed by a walking tour of the WVU campus. There will be a meeting for current IMC students and graduates in the afternoon. The day will culminate with a dinner, where all IMC graduates from the previous year will be recognized.

Reservations are required for all events; complete details are available online athttp://www.imc.wvu.edu/theimcprogram/infoweekend.php.
