LuAnn Moore has been appointed interim director of human resources operations at West Virginia University, effective April 7, Vice President for Administration and Finance Narvel Weese announced today.

Moore has over 20 years of professional human resources experience, and currently is special assistant for academic personnel in the office of the provost.

She previously held the position of director of human resources at WVNET .

Im excited and pleased that someone with LuAnns background could be assigned to these duties and help strengthen the human resources function on campus,Weese said.She and Liz Reynolds, our interim assistant vice president for human resources, will make a good team.

In the position, Moore will direct and oversee the day-to-day internal operations of WVU s Department of Human Resources. Reynolds will continue as interim assistant vice president.

Weese said a search for a vice president for human resources is expected to begin soon.
