The West Virginia University Alumni Association will host Emeritus Club Weekend festivities April 28-29 for alumni who graduated in 1956 or earlier.

Members will be welcomed into the WVU Alumni Association’s Emeritus Club during a formal ceremony Friday, April 28, in the Thomas Room of the Milan Puskar Center . Inductees will be joined by the Alumni Association President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Douglas, WVU President David C. Hardesty Jr. and 2006 Emeritus Club President Ron LaNeve.

The weekend’s activities will continue through Saturday, April 30, and will include a breakfast, guided bus tour of the WVU campuses and a luncheon for inductees and guests.

The Emeritus Club was founded in 1951 by 20 charter members who graduated prior to 1901. Since that time, more than 2,500 individuals have been inducted. This year, approximately 550 alumni became eligible to join.
