If you’re looking for the right fitness program, have a general health question, wondering about nutrition, or worried about stress, Thursdays at the West Virginia University Student Recreation Center could provide you with answers.
TheAsk the Expertserieslaunched Thursday, March 2, and running every Thursday through May 4 (excluding Spring Break March 16)offers sources in the fields of exercise science, nutrition, general health and sports psychology. These experts will be available to meet individually with students and Rec. Center members by appointment.
The 10-15 minute one-on-one sessions are designed to provide answers to personal questions related to optimizing one’s health, said Colleen Harshbarger, program manager at the Rec Center .
Appointments can be made at the front desk of the Student Rec. Center , Sunday through Wednesday, for the Thursday of that week. The program is free to all students and Rec. Center members.
The weekly schedule follows:
- 2-3 p.m. Exercise Colleen Harshbarger, program manager, Student Recreation Center
- 2-3 p.m. General Health Student Health Services staff
- 3-4 p.m. Nutrition Nettie Puglisi, nutritionist, WVU Healthy U.
- 4-5 p.m. Sports Psychology Damien Clement, Sports Psychology program, School of Physical Education
