From graduation announcements to new University regalia, West Virginia University’s One-Stop Shop has everything students need for Commencement.

The shops and their locations are from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, Mineral Resources Building atrium; and Tuesday, Feb. 28, and Wednesday, March 1, in the Mountainlair Commons.

New this year are navy blue gowns sporting the WVU seal, rather than the traditional black gowns of the past, organizers say.

Besides ordering caps and gowns, students can pay their $30 graduation fee by cash or check (no credit cards will be accepted); pick up graduation application information from individual colleges; order the official WVU class ring from Herff-Jones; attend a loan repayment session offered by Financial Aid; and enter their names into a drawing to win a diploma frame from the WVU Bookstoreall in one location.

This is also an excellent opportunity to get tips on resume writing and job hunting from the Career Services Center and sign up with the Alumni Association and Athletic Department to stay connected with WVU and the Mountaineers after graduation, said Amanda Tranquillo, Student Affairs future services specialist.

Other campus unitsAdmissions and Records and the Student Health Servicewill be on hand, and every student who contributes to the class gift will get his or her name listed on the 2005-2006 Mountaineer Mark plaque that will be located on Mountaineer Walk in Mountaineer Heritage Park .

I hope that all of our graduating seniors will stop by to take care of their graduation needs, said Sheila Powell, special assistant to the vice president for Student Affairs. We understand how busy they are this semester, and this is one service WVU provides to help make our students’lives just a little easier.

One-Stop Shop is sponsored by Student Affairs. For more information, call 304-293-5811.
