An assortment of mouthwatering dishes await those who attend the annual International Dinner at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, in the West Virginia University Mountainlair ballrooms.

This year’s theme is the Pacific Rim . Among the dishes are a spicy beef dish from Korea ; vegetarian dishes from Japan , Indonesia and China ; appetizers from Vietnam and the Philippines ; and a dessert from Australia .

As you can see, a great variety of countries from the Pacific Rim will be represented,said Sandra Lange, public relations officer for the International Student Organization, which is sponsoring the meal.We’ll haveexperts’from those countries help prepare the dishes.

The goal of the dinner and other activities organized by the International Student Organization is to promote understanding and diversity among all cultures.

Due to the popularity of the event, there will be six serving lines, and diners are welcome to serve themselves as soon as they arrive, added Karen Bird with the Office of International Students and Scholars.

We have 315 tickets and we have already sold a number of them,Lange said.People should make sure they get their tickets early.

Tickets are $14 for adults; $8 for students and children over 7. They may be purchased at the Office of International Students and Scholars in Elizabeth Moore Hall, or checks and money orders may be mailed to: OISS , Attn: Karen Bird, P.O. Box 6411, E. Moore Hall, Morgantown , WV 26506 .

Starting Thursday, Feb. 16, members of the International Student Organization will also be selling tickets in the Mountainlair.
