West Virginia University is holding a Coal Industry Job Fair from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Career Services Center in the WVU Mountainlair.

The fair is free and open to WVU students. No registration is required.

Participating companies are Alliance Coal, Lexington, Ky.; Beitzel Corp., Grantsville, Md.; Dana Mining/MEPCO, Morgantown; Eastern Associated Coal Corp., Fairview; ICG /Anker Coal, Morgantown; ICG Eastern, Cowen; and Massey Energy, Summersville.

Students may come at any time and visit with employers. They should bring copies of their resumes.

This is the first-ever coal industry job fair at WVU ,said Bob Kent, director of the Career Services Center.The industry has rebounded in a strong fashion recently, and we are trying to persuade students to consider this as a viable career option with a revived industry.
