Prominent women in the fields of science and math will gather for a panel discussion at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at the Health Sciences auditorium.
The Center for Womens Studies in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences is hosting the event.
Participating in the discussion will be: Dr. Frances Vanscoy, associate professor of computer science and electrical engineering; Dr. Martina Bachlechner, assistant professor of physics; Dr. Helen Lang, associate professor of geology and geography; Dr. Kasi Jackson, assistant professor of womens studies; and Dr. Lisa Holland, assistant professor of chemistry.
The Eberly College is also sponsoring a display at the WVU Visitors Resource Center at One Waterfront this month to highlight the many achievements of women in science. The display will feature women scientists of the past and present, as well as the accomplishments of former and current WVU faculty.
