A section of West Virginia Universitys Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system will be closed Saturday, Oct. 22, for maintenance and testing of a new guideway heating system.

From 7 a.m. until early to mid-afternoon Saturday, the PRT will not be running from Beechurst Avenue to the Engineering Station, said Bob Hendershot, assistant director of public safety and transportation. The people-movers other runswhich include Walnut Street to Beechurst, Engineering to Towers and Health Science stationswill be unaffected.

WVU will provide non-stop bus service between the Beechurst and Engineering stations to accommodate those inconvenienced by the temporary closure.
