Are you interested in law school?

How should you prepare for success in law school?

What is it like to be a lawyer?

These are just some of the questions that will be answered at a pre-law panel discussion set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, in 312 Clark Hall on the West Virginia University Downtown Campus. The Philosophy Department in WVU s Eberly College of Arts and Sciences is sponsoring the event, which is free and open to the public.

Panelists will be Kevin Outterson, a professor in the WVU College of Law; Teresa Dumire, an attorney with Kay, Casto and Cheney; James Kirby III , general counsel for the West Virginia Department of Administration; Mark Wicclair, professor of WVU s Philosophy Department; and WVU law student Justin Jack.

Recent WVU philosophy graduates are now attending such prestigious law schools as the University of California-Berkeley and Yale University Law School.
