Undergraduate students needing assistance with their general chemistry classes can receive free tutoring at the West Virginia University Chemistry Learning Center, located in rooms 408 and 410 Clark Hall.

The CLC provides free tutoring to students in Introduction to Chemistry (CHEM 110); Survey of Chemistry (CHEM 111/112); Fundamentals of Chemistry (CHEM 115/116) and Principles of Chemistry (CHEM 117/118).

Tutoring is provided by advanced undergraduate volunteers in engineering and the sciences who are members of the American Chemical Society Student Affiliates. Tutors are trained and supported by Dr. Harry O. Finklea, chairman of the C. Eugene Bennet Department of Chemistry in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences, who also oversees the center.

The CLC is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 7-10 p.m. General chemistry students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this resource.

For more information about the center, please contact Dr. Finklea at Harry.Finklea@mail.wvu.edu , or the Department of Chemistry at Chemistry@mail.wvu.edu .
