Marchers are wanted to strut their stuff down High Street.

West Virginia University is taking applications for participants in the 2005 Homecoming Parade, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, on North High Street.

The paradefeaturing the WVU Homecoming court, local high school bands, the award-winning Mountaineer Marching Band, student floats, Orchesis dance ensemble and morewill follow its traditional route down High Street. Participants must be in their assigned locations by 5:15 p.m.

Applications were mailed to groups that took part last year. Packets are also available in the Student Organization Services office in the Mountainlair and are due Friday, Sept. 16, along with the $50 entry fee.

WVU will continue to take applications after that date. However, a late fee of $10 will be assessed.

Checks should be made out to West Virginia University and indicateHomecoming Paradein the memo line. No cash or ATM cards will be accepted. There is no fee for nonprofit and WVU student organizations.
