West Virginia University will soon crown a new king and queen.

Applications for Homecoming court are available in the Student Organization Services office in the Mountainlair. The court will be selected based on leadership activities, campus involvement and an essay.

To apply, students must be enrolled full-time on WVU s Morgantown campus, have completed 89 credit hours and have a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade-point average.

Former WVU Homecoming candidates areineligible.

A $5 application fee is payable with a check or money order made out to West Virginia University and is due with the application by 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the Student Organization Services office. No exceptions will be made.

A five-person panel will conduct interviews at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, in theLair Mountaineer Room. Students should sign up for interview times when they turn in their application materials.

Homecoming Week activities begin Oct. 10 with online voting taking place Oct. 11-13 via the MIX (Mountaineer Information Xpress) at www.mix.wvu.edu . The winners will be announced at halftime of the WVU -Louisville football game Saturday, Oct. 15. Kickoff is noon or 3:30 p.m. at Milan Puskar Stadium.
