Can a West Virginia University alumna outwit, outplay and outlast to become the ultimate survivor?

Margaret Bobonich, a nurse from Chardon, Ohio, is one of 16 contestants to compete onSurvivor: Guatemala,which premieres at 8 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 15) on CBS .

At 43, the Elkview native is one of the oldest contestants in the latest installment of the hit reality show. Bobonich received her bachelors degree in nursing from WVU in 1998 and spent 16 years in emergency and aeromedical nursing.

According to CBS .com, she is married and has two sons. She lists the Mountaineers as one of her favorite sports teams.

Bobonich will join fellow castaways in the Guatemalan rainforests, where they must live together and compete for the $1 million prize. Early teasers for the show referred toexcruciating triple-digit heat, crocodile-infested waters, relentless mosquitoes and terrifying sounds of the howler monkeys.

The cast also includes former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Gary Hogeboom, a magicians assistant, a zookeeper, a sports radio talk show host and a model.
