Media Advisory: WVU to break ground for new $14.5 million Evansdale residence hall Tuesday

* WHO :* WVU President David. C Hardesty Jr., VP for Student Affairs Ken Gray, and representatives from the developer, architectural firm, and contractor Whiting-Turner

* WHAT :* Ground will be officially broken for WVU s new 351-bed residence hall on the Evansdale campus. The 80,000-square-foot hall will be constructed next to Brooke Tower near the Evansdale Residential Complex. The new residence hall is the first built since 1968 when the four ERC towers were constructed.

* WHEN :* 1 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 30

* WHERE :* Between University and Rawley Avenues, next to Brooke Tower. Parking will be available in nearby WVU lots; please display press parking permit.
