Imagine spending a memorable summer white-water raftingand getting paid for it.

That is just one of the many exciting job opportunities awaiting West Virginia University students at Wednesdays (March 9) Summer Jobs Expo from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.

The event is aimed primarily at assisting WVU students with jump-starting their summer job search,said Bob Kent, director of WVU s Career Services Center.

Employers attending will be searching for students to work at amusement parks, serve as white water rafting guides, work the retail trade and do warehousing.

With more than 40 employers looking for hires, students will be able to meet and talk to representatives about full- and part-time jobs and internships. Out-of-state as well as local openings are available. Potential applicants are encouraged to bring several copies of their resumes and dress to impress.

No pre-registration is required and admission is free. The job fair is sponsored by the Career Services Center Job Location and Development Office.
