The 13 th annual West Virginia University Wildlife and Fisheries Society Wild Game Dinner will be held Saturday, March 5, at the Mead Westvaco Natural Resources Building near Chestnut Ridge Park in the University Forest.

Doors open at 4 p.m. with dinner served at 5 p.m.

The game dinner is our largest event and fundraiser of the year,said Bridget Crockus, president of the WVU Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society.The dinner provides folks with an opportunity to try a variety of dishes featuring wild game of West Virginia and meats from more exotic locales.

Guest speaker will be George Constantz, education manager for the Canaan Valley Institute. His book,Hollows, Peepers, and Highlanders: An Appalachian Ecologywill be the focus of his talk on the adaptations of Appalachian organisms. The presentation will be followed by a short question and answer session. A book signing will follow.

Tickets for the dinner are $13 for adults if bought in advance; $15 if purchased at the door. Children under 12 pay $6. Tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting Bridge Crockus at 304-685-1216 or 304-598-0438.
