John Fraser, an artist who lives and works in St. Charles, Ill., will present a visiting artist lecture at the West Virginia University College of Creative Arts, Tuesday, Feb. 22.
Fraser is one of the artists represented in the exhibitionOn Paper: Prints from Normal Editions Workshop,currently on view in the Paul Mesaros Gallery at the Creative Arts Center through March 12.
The lecture will begin at 5 p.m. in the CAC s Bloch Learning and Performance Hall (Room 200A). The event is free and open to the public.
Fraser is a native of Chicago and holds a bachelors degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago and an M.F.A. from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Ill. His work in the Normal Editions Workshop was created during a residency in Feb. 2004.
Normal Editions Workshop is a distinctive non-profit research facility collaborating with national and international artists to produce limited editions of fine art prints. Located in Normal, Ill., N.E.W. has been printing fine art editions for artists since 1976. The group exhibition currently on view at the CAC represents some of the best artists who have created work at the workshop.
