Hungary for something new? Enjoy a culinary tour of Europe when West Virginia Universitys International Student Organization hosts its 17 th annual international dinner at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.

The dinner is an event designed to promote cultural awareness in the community, said Karen Bird with the Office of International Students and Scholars. The theme is Taste a Bit of Europe

This years European theme was chosen to honor the International Student

Organizations graduating president, Nicole Michaelis, a public administration major from Germany,she added.If you are the adventurous type who likes to sample foods from other cultures, the international dinner is for you.

Dishessuch as pork roast with apples and onions from Poland, wild mushroom bread pudding from Ireland and leeks with mustard and cheese from the Netherlandsalong with fare from Sweden, Hungary, Scotland and many other countries make up the diverse menu.

Members of the International Student Organization will prepare the food with the help of WVU s Women Across Cultures organization and European Morgantown residents. Entertainment will include singer Katrina Davies from Wales, Irish step dancing and more.

The event is a fund-raiser for the International Student Organization and is open to the public. Tickets are $14 for adults and $8 for students of any age. Starting Feb. 1, they can be purchased by calling the Office of International Students and Scholars at 304-293-3519. No tickets will be sold at the door.
