* DETAILS :* First Commitment Corp. (John Hazlett, president; also affiliated with wvnonprofit.org) was founded to support the community non-profit infrastructure by, among other things, encouraging leaders in the business sector to become involved in non-profit organizations. Its goals are to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of these organizations.
The workshop will train WVU MBA students to become effective leaders in the business community after graduation. This training will allow the business students to use the skills they acquire to help them in future employment and in the communities in which they reside.
The MBA program emphasizes experiential learning and community involvement. Boardsmanship supports both emphases as student-leaders apply their business skills for the betterment of their communities and enhance their personal experiences in the process.
