West Virginia Universitys Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity will ring the bell of the Armored Cruiser USS West Virginia at 11:50 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, at Oglebay Plaza to honor the passing of a WVU student and a recent graduate.

Shane Vimal Nambiar, a 25-year-old graduate from Richmond Hill, N.Y., was killed in a vehicular accident Dec. 18 near Baltimore, Md. He earned his degree in physical education-teacher education and had plans to attend graduate school at WVU .

Freshman Emma A. Larson, scheduled to begin her studies in biology at WVU this semester, died Jan. 2 at her home in Beckley. She was 19.
