College students and others are needed to participate in a mock weapons of mass destruction exercise Friday, Jan. 14.
The purpose of the drill is to test West Virginias Civil Emergency Response Force and 35 th WMD -Civil Support Teams response in the event of an actual terrorist event.
TheGator Ifull-scale exercise will begin at 11 a.m. and end around 9 p.m.
All participants need to report to the Civic Center in Kingwood at 11 a.m. the day of the drill.
For those living outside the Kingwood area, bus transportation will be provided. People will be instructed where and when to meet the bus for pickup, said David Custer, exercise coordinator.
Participants must be at least 18 years old. They are required to present photo identification and sign a liability release form during registration.
Prior to the exercise, all mock victims will be briefed on their roles and responsibilities, Custer noted. Food, beverages and bathroom facilities will be provided.
Also, Contemporary Staffing Hiring Agency will compensate all role players $6 per hour for their services.
