Are you thinking about revamping or expanding the promotional materials for your business or organization?

If so, you may want to attend the WVU Graphic Design Program’s open house forStudio 2453at the Creative Arts Center on Friday, Dec. 10, from noon to 7 p.m.

Studio 2453 is a model design studio comprised of students in the Graphic Design Program in the WVU Division of Art. The studio takes on traditional clients from local businesses, the University and the community and produces professional work that is more affordable than that of many traditional design firms. Not only will you get cutting-edge design from the same student demographic that likely makes up part of your clientele, but your design work will be supervised by experienced faculty who will make sure your project gets the attention and detail it requires.

Proceeds raised by Studio 2453 are used to support a graduate student to assist the studio as an art director. They also help fund visiting artists, field trips and the purchase of extra equipment for the Graphic Design computer lab.

Capabilities of Studio 2453 include: brochures and printed materials; newsletters and publications; posters and signage; symbol design and identity work; and web and multimedia.

The open house is at the Studio, in Room 2453 of the Creative Arts Center , directly upstairs from the Annual Holiday Ceramic and Print Sale being held in the CAC ’s Douglas O. Blaney Lobby from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the same day.

Those who attend will have the opportunity to speak to faculty and students about design projects and view previous design work created in Studio 2453. There also will be refreshments.

If you are not able to attend, but are still interested in working with the Studio on a project, contact Professor Eve Faulkes at (304) 293-4841 ext. 3139 or at efaulkes@mail.wvu.edu for more information.
