Matthew Lopresti, pre-doctoral fellow in philosophy at West Virginia University, will address faith and feminism next week.

Lopresti will discussCritiquing Goddessin Feminist Theologyfrom 4-5:30 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 7) in the Mountaineer Room of the Mountainlair student union.

Feminist theology is a movement found mainly in Christianity and Judiasm that asks followers to reconsider religion from the perspective of women.

Lopresti is a doctoral student at the University of Hawaii-Manoa, and is also a research and teaching assistant at WVU . He earned bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Toledo and has taught introductory courses in philosophy, the humanities, logic and ethics at universities in Ohio and Hawaii before coming to WVU .
