The West Virginia University Faculty Chamber Ensemble will present its first concert of the season Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 8:15 p.m. in the Bloch Learning and Performance Hall (Room 200A) of the Creative Arts Center.
The event is free, and the public is cordially invited to attend.
The program will includeFigures in a Landscape,for violin, viola, cello, bass and piano, by Elizabeth Brown (b. 1953);Sursum Corda,for solo cello, by Judith Shatin (b. 1949),Four on the Floor,for violin, cello, bass and piano, by Libby Larsen (b. 1950), andPiano Trio in G Minor, Op. 17,by Clara Schumann (1819-1896).
Performers will include James Miltenberger and Christine Kefferstan, pianists; Laura Kobayashi, violinist; Nicole Brockman, violist; William Skidmore, cellist; and Andrew Kohn, double-bassist. They will be joined by graduate student Kathryn Gardner, a violinist who will perform in the Schumann Trio.
