An internationally known business and personal coach for Fortune 500 companies will lead a workshop for professionals and others Nov. 4-5 in Room 245 of West Virginia Universitys Coliseum.

Sandra Foster will presentCoaching Workers and Clients for Self-Actualization and Development of Career Success.The West Virginia Psychological Association, West Virginia Licensed Professional Counselors Association and WVU School of Physical Educations International Center for Performance Excellence are sponsors.

The workshop is open to all who would like to register but is primarily intended for business professionals, counselors and psychologists who want to expand their private practice or consulting work. This course will also be useful for those in organizational management interested in learning thecoach approachto encouraging and developing others in the workplace.

Foster will teach participants how to apply basic coaching skills in their ongoing work. They will learn both basic and advanced skills to help clients build on their strengths as they define and reach goals, move toward a better quality of life and improve their performance at work.

Foster is a performance expert and executive coach based in Milan, Italy, and London, England. She began working with entrepreneurs and business leaders in Silicon Valley in the mid-1980s and currently works with executives, performing artists and elite athletes.

She is a certified sport psychology consultant with the Association for the Advancement of Applied Sport Psychology and a certified personal coach with the International Coach Federation. She is also listed with the U.S. Olympic Committee Sport Psychology Registry.

Foster is a faculty member at the Ventura, Calif.-based College of Executive Coaching. She also served on the faculty of Stanford University, where she received her doctorate.
