Program staff from the West Virginia Legislature’s Internship Program will be on the West Virginia University campus Wednesday, Sept. 22, to provide information and answer questions about the many internship opportunities offered by the legislature. Program representatives will be available to meet with students from 4:30-6 p.m. in 400 Knapp Hall.

The Legislature offers internship opportunities for graduate students under its Walter Rollins Scholars, Robert W. Burk Jr. Intern and Lewis McManus Fellowship internship programs.

In addition, the Legislature offers internships for undergraduate students through its Judith Herndon Fellows program and through its Frasure-Singleton Internship program.

The West Virginia Legislature also offers an internship program for undergraduate and graduate students in journalism.

These programs are offered in the spring semester of every academic year. Applications are generally due in late October.

The Sept. 22 event is intended to allow students and others to drop by and meet with program representatives.
